BlackRock's Bitcoin Trust Surpasses $60B as Grayscale Sees Outflows
BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) has seen significant inflows over the past 20 days, adding $1.08 billion to its assets. This surge in investment is largely due to IBIT's lower annual fee of 0.25%, compared to Grayscale's Bitcoin Trust (GBTC), which charges 1.5%. The difference in fees has led to a divergence in investor interest, with IBIT's assets now surpassing $60 billion.
Grayscale's GBTC, on the other hand, has experienced outflows of $254.7 million during the same period. This shift reflects a broader trend where US spot Bitcoin ETFs now hold 6% of all Bitcoin, potentially influencing price dynamics and institutional adoption narratives going forward.
