BlackRock's Crypto ETFs Shed $3.5 Billion in Second Quarter
BlackRock's crypto exchange-traded funds (ETFs) saw a significant shift in the second quarter of this year, experiencing a net capital-share decrease of $3.5 billion.
This is a stark reversal from last year's Q2, when these same ETFs saw a $13.9 billion gain.
The funds in question are the iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (IBIT) and the iShares Ethereum Trust ETF (ETHA).
According to SEC filings, IBIT recorded a net decrease of $2.9 billion due to share redemptions, while ETHA saw a $583.4 million decrease.
