BlackRock's Crypto Portfolio Surges $5B as Ethereum Favors Clearer Regulations
BlackRock's crypto portfolio has experienced significant growth in July, reaching approximately $53.95 billion. This is an increase of nearly $5 billion from the previous month's total of $49.15 billion.
The main drivers behind this surge were gains in the iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF and iShares Ethereum Trust. Despite BlackRock reducing its Bitcoin holdings slightly, the price of Bitcoin rose by 8.65% in July, while Ethereum's price surged over 21% due to increased demand from the investment firm.
This trend suggests that institutional investors may be favoring Ethereum over Bitcoin as clearer regulations emerge. This shift could signal a broader market trend, with Ethereum becoming a more attractive option for investors seeking stability and growth.
