BlackRock's IBIT Dominates US Bitcoin ETF Market with $63B Inflows
The US Bitcoin ETF market has been dominated by one fund, IBIT, which has collected over $63.9 billion in cumulative net inflows since its launch in January 2024.
This is more than any other fund in the category, including Grayscale's GBTC, which has recorded $27.6 billion in net outflows during the same period.
IBIT's success can be attributed to its large brand name and deep trading, making it an attractive option for investors who want to gain exposure to Bitcoin without managing private keys or dealing with exchange operations.
The fund has been able to offset redemptions elsewhere in the category, and its current scale is a key factor in explaining the gap between IBIT's inflows and the combined net outflows of other funds.
