BlackRock's IBIT Drives $853M in Bitcoin ETF Inflows Amid Tentative Institutional Re-Entry

Bitcoin ETF inflows surged to $853.54 million in the week ended August 7, marking the strongest weekly total since mid-April.

The majority of this influx came from BlackRock's IBIT, which captured $693 million, representing approximately 81% of all category inflows.

This significant increase in institutional interest is a tentative sign that institutions are re-entering Bitcoin after earlier selling. ETF inflows require authorized participants to buy actual Bitcoin on the open market to back new shares, making this demand more meaningful than speculative positioning.
