BLAST Premier Goes Crypto-Free as Top Teams Compete

The BLAST Premier tournament has reached its semi-finals stage without any crypto sponsors. The event's 2026 season marks a notable shift from just a few years ago, when Coinbase partnered with the organization.

This lack of crypto involvement is reflected in Team Spirit's quarterfinal victory over Team Liquid on July 30. The performance drew eyeballs and potential sponsors, but none were associated with the event.

Team Spirit has built one of the most competitive CS2 rosters without any significant crypto backing. The team's AWP player Dmitry 'sh1ro' Sokolov delivered a highlight-reel collateral kill against Team Liquid, taking out two opponents with a single bullet.
