Blockaid Bolsters Onchain Security as Infrastructure Attacks Soar
Blockaid, the onchain security platform used by Coinbase and Uniswap, has expanded its Onchain Monitoring suite to address an increasing trend in crypto attacks targeting infrastructure. According to a release from Blockaid, 74% of stolen crypto value in the first half of 2026 came from operational and infrastructure compromises rather than traditional smart-contract vulnerabilities.
The number of incidents has skyrocketed, running roughly 3.4x the total it recorded across all of 2025. Blockaid warned that a compromised signer, an outdated deployment, or a vulnerable third-party protocol can expose every asset and application connected to it.
The expanded suite is designed to continuously identify how an organization's onchain footprint changes over time, adding three core capabilities: discovering onchain exposure, mapping third-party dependencies, and detecting ecosystem-wide threats. System monitors track market and liquidity signals, alongside privileged activity, to detect suspicious behavior.
