Blockchain.com Wins Crucial License in Cayman Islands

Share

Blockchain.com has secured a full Virtual Asset Service Provider custody license from the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority, expanding its regulated services in the Caribbean jurisdiction.

The company's subsidiary received the definitive license on July 22, 2026, after maintaining a VASP registration since May 2022 and satisfying all conditions set by CIMA. This approval allows Blockchain.com to provide custody, crypto-to-fiat exchange, and crypto-to-crypto exchange services in the Cayman Islands.

The company's co-CEO, Lane Kasselman, stated that the license builds on previous regulatory approvals and strengthens its ability to serve customers across the region. The full Cayman Islands license enables Blockchain.com to consolidate its position as a provider of regulated crypto asset services in the Caribbean.
