Blockchain Gaming Fails to Deliver on Promise
Despite its promising concept of allowing users to own and trade in-game assets, blockchain gaming has failed to reach widespread adoption. According to Jacquelyn Melinek, the value of in-game asset ownership was not fully realized.
Melinek notes that while the underlying idea offered significant utility, inadequate execution and distribution hindered its success.
In related news, Melinek previously covered Securitize's SECZ listing at the New York Stock Exchange and highlighted the company's focus on onchain financial assets. She also reported on Anchorage, a federally regulated bank, issuing $1.4 billion in stablecoins and partnering with major clients.
