Blockchain Gaming Leaders Unite to Govern AI Wallet Agents
The Blockchain Game Alliance (BGA), Deloitte, and DMCC have formed the AI & Agentics Council to govern AI agents that control digital wallets in blockchain gaming. The council aims to establish frameworks for governed autonomy, human accountability, model-independent infrastructure, and economies open to agent participation.
The founding partners include Xsolla, SKALE, The Sandbox, WAM, Deloitte, and DMCC. According to WAM co-founder Daniel Tămaș, agents are not seen as smarter players but rather economic actors that engage with markets and participate in in-game economies.
The council's formation is driven by the need for clear, interoperable, and safe rules before institutional investors can enter the field. The BGA report 'Agentic AI in Gaming and the Emerging Digital Economy' highlights three shifts in digital entertainment: blockchain-native ownership, maturation of AI reasoning, and programmable payment rails.
