Blockchain Halt on MANTRA Chain Causes Withdrawal Delays
A blockchain halt occurs when validators stop producing new blocks, effectively freezing all transactions. This happened on MANTRA's chain from August 20 to August 22, 2026.
The good news is that token balances remain intact during a halt; the only issue is accessing them. The chain restarted at 03:38:07 UTC on August 22, and by 18:38 UTC, it was producing blocks again.
However, withdrawal of OM tokens on Binance remained suspended for roughly 15 hours after the restart. This discrepancy highlights the difference between a network's status and an exchange's handling of transactions.
