Three blockchain networks, Cronos, Ontology, and ICON, have suspended operations due to security incidents. The first network to halt block production was Cronos, which used a 'Validator Consensus Emergency Action' to shut down the network after a vulnerability exploit on the Tectonic protocol.

Cronos rolled back the chain state to its pre-attack state and resumed block production from block height 90,896,189. This action erased all transactions and states related to the vulnerability from the official chain.

Ontology and ICON also suspended operations due to security concerns. Ontology halted block production before confirming malicious activity and stated that no user assets were lost. ICON first paused a compromised smart contract and then shut down the entire network, with most of the stolen ICX transferred to exchange custodial accounts.
