Blockstream is in talks to recover approximately 598.5 BTC still outstanding after the Liquid exploit, which saw hackers steal around $320 million from the sidechain.

The individuals responsible returned 3,400 BTC on Monday, leaving roughly 15% unreturned.

A software flaw allowed unbacked L-BTC to be exchanged for reserve Bitcoin, according to Liquid Network.

Blockstream is preparing an emergency update while the fix undergoes review, following a patch to its bridge nodes on Monday.
