Blockstream Stands Firm Against Ransom Demands for Stolen Liquid Network Bitcoins

Blockstream has taken a firm stance against paying a ransom for the remaining Bitcoins stolen from Liquid Network. Approximately 85% of the stolen funds, or around 3,400 BTC, have been returned to Blockstream, according to Wu Blockchain.

The company views the unauthorized taking and non-return of assets as outright theft, not 'ethical security research' as some might claim.

Blockstream plans to recover the remaining 598.5 BTC through legal means, working with law enforcement, crypto exchanges, and forensic experts.
