The certifications, announced on August 7, 2026, position BNB Chain to better meet the stringent requirements of banks, asset managers, and governments. ISO 27001 focuses on information security management, ensuring that an organization has robust systems to identify and mitigate security risks, manage access, and handle incidents.

ISO 27701 extends these principles to personal data, governing how it is collected, processed, and stored. Both certifications require external audits, with BSI conducting the assessments for BNB Chain.
