BNB Chain Boosts Security Amid Rising Demand for Early-Stage AI Exchange AlphaPepe
The BNB Chain has undergone a significant upgrade to enhance its security and performance. The Pasteur hard fork, activated on mainnet, addresses important security and performance issues. This upgrade strengthens bridge verification, validator key rotation, slashing, and governance controls.
BEP-682 prevents duplicate validator entries from being counted during bridge verification, while BEP-695 enhances validator key rotation, slashing, and governance controls. The new block-building process allows specialized builders to submit pre-executed blocks to validators, reducing repeated execution work and increasing block capacity.
This upgrade is designed to make better use of BNB Chain's existing speed while closing gaps in cross-chain asset movement and validator authorization. Testnet benchmarks showed a significant improvement in measured throughput, moving from roughly 1,250 to 2,350 transactions per second.
