BNB Chain has achieved ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO/IEC 27701 certifications from the British Standards Institution (BSI), a significant step in aligning its infrastructure with institutional-grade security and privacy standards.
The certifications, announced on August 7, 2026, position BNB Chain to better meet the stringent requirements of banks, asset managers, and governments.
ISO 27001 focuses on information security management, ensuring that an organization has robust systems to identify and mitigate security risks, manage access, and handle incidents. ISO 27701 extends these principles to personal data, governing how it is collected, processed, and stored.
BSI's audit evaluated BNB Chain's infrastructure and operational processes, including systems that deploy and execute smart contracts, key management frameworks, and blockchain services.
