BNB Chain Sues Former Employee Over Unauthorized Meme Coin Launch
BNB Chain has taken legal action against a former employee accused of misusing company materials to launch a new meme coin without permission.
The incident revolves around ASTEROID, a meme token allegedly created by the former BNB Chain employee using an unauthorized wallet address.
According to Lookonchain, the individual used four new wallets to purchase 796.7 million ASTEROID tokens, accounting for nearly 80% of the total issuance.
The employee sold 718.8 million ASTEROID for 1103 BNB, earning a net profit of around $628,000.
