$BNB Chain Surges Past 50% of Tokenized Equities Market Share

BNB Chain has taken the lead in tokenized equities, accounting for nearly 50% of the total supply of around $2.9 billion in the space.

The surge is largely driven by bStocks' growth, which has accelerated since its launch. By the end of August, BNB Chain's tokenized-equity initiative had carried it beyond $1.3 billion compared to Ethereum's $800 million.

According to BlockWorks data, bStocks provides 24/7 settlement capabilities and composability, two benefits that do not exist with traditional shares. This has led to a significant increase in trading volume, exceeding $19 billion.

The concentration of tokenized equity on BNB Chain becomes more important when viewed across the wider RWA market. While BNB Chain represents 15% of the market with $5.7 billion, Ethereum still dominates with a 45% share and $17.27 billion in total RWA distributed market share.

Experts believe that expanding into Treasuries and Funds will help to spread out demand for BNB Chain and increase capital retention, which could ultimately close the gap between BNB Chain and Ethereum's overall lead.
