BNB Chain Surges Past Ethereum in NFT Sales
NFT sales surged to $75.54 million last week, a 55.6% jump from the previous seven days. Despite the increase, total transactions actually fell by 14.77%, indicating that bigger-ticket sales drove the growth rather than broader market participation.
The average value per transaction rose to around $116 from about $64 in the prior period, suggesting that high-priced individual trades fueled the surge. Buyer and seller addresses increased 20.38% and 18.09%, respectively, but this growth may be inflated by traders using multiple wallets.
BNB Chain overtook Ethereum as the top blockchain, with NFT sales reaching $32.75 million - a 1,042% increase from the previous week. This jump propelled BNB Chain to the top spot, while Ethereum's sales fell 14.23% to $18.94 million.
The top NFT collection was Courtyard, with $6.32 million in sales and roughly 8.4% of global volume. However, its transactions were steady at 97,050, indicating a broad transaction base rather than oversized trades.
