BNB Overtakes Ethereum as Grayscale's Largest Smart Contract Holding
Grayscale Investments has rebalanced its Smart Contract Fund, making Binance's native token BNB the largest holding at 30.6%. This shift pushed Ethereum and Solana below it in the fund's allocation.
The asset manager made this change after reviewing its second-quarter portfolio. To allocate more funds to BNB, Grayscale reduced exposure to existing holdings, with Cardano seeing one of the biggest cuts.
BNB Chain has been expanding rapidly through tokenized assets, decentralized finance (DeFi), and enterprise blockchain activity. Market data shows that it recently recorded over $80 million in tokenized ETF-related growth, helping strengthen its position among institutional investors.
