BNB Price Rally Stalls Despite Pasteur Hardfork Launch on BSC Mainnet
The price of BNB has cooled off despite the launch of the Pasteur hardfork on the Binance Smart Chain mainnet. The token, native to the largest crypto exchange by trading volume, had rallied to $725 from a support level around $600 last week.
However, momentum indicators suggest that the uptrend may be overstretched, raising the odds of an extended correction. If bulls reclaim support above $700, consolidation above this level could encourage traders to increase risk exposure, anticipating a medium-term breakout past $725 and toward $1,000.
The Pasteur hardfork upgrade aims to close bridge verification and validator authorization gaps, increasing the number of transactions bundled into each block. It also introduces a new framework for specialist builders to submit blocks to validators, improving bridge approval integrity by counting each validator only once in bridge approvals.
