Boltz, a non-custodial Bitcoin swap service, has paused its operations due to a surge in AI-assisted hacking attempts. In a post on X, Boltz stated that it had seen a steady increase in 'automated AI-assisted probing' of its infrastructure over the past few months.

The company said that each exploit was contained, but the pattern is clear: attackers now iterate faster than Boltz's team can find and patch vulnerabilities. After reviewing recent security scans, Boltz decided it couldn't responsibly re-enable swaps, especially with multiple resourceful groups actively targeting its infrastructure.
