$BONK Price Crashes as Upbit Announces Delisting on September 7
The Solana-based meme coin $BONK is facing a major setback as Korea's largest crypto exchange, Upbit, announced its delisting on September 7, 2026. The move follows an investigation into security incidents and weak disclosure by the project.
As a result of the delisting news, the BONK coin price crashed about 10%, and 24-hour volume jumped 200% as holders rushed to exit. Upbit's official notice set clear terms for the move: Delisting date: September 7, 2026, at 15:00 KST; Pairs removed: BONKKRW and BONKUSDT; Open orders on those pairs get canceled at that time; Withdrawals stay open until October 7, 2026.
Deposits stopped earlier, on July 7, 2026, when Upbit first flagged $BONK as a caution asset and opened a formal review. After about a month, the exchange found the issues unresolved and moved to a full delisting. The current price of $BONK is around $0.0000002537, down 8.16%, with a market cap of $223.5 million and trading volume of $68.3 million.
Bithumb, another top South Korean exchange, took the opposite stance on the BONK delisting watchlist by removing it from its caution list, stating that $BONK now meets its rules for compliance and stability.
