Bottomline, a top provider of Swift services, has partnered with Chainlink to enhance cross-border payments for its over 600 bank customers. This collaboration aims to integrate blockchain technology into traditional finance by connecting Bottomline's existing payment infrastructure to both public and private blockchains.

The partnership will enable banks to use familiar ISO 20022 messaging while accessing on-chain payment rails, making it easier to process cross-chain transactions. By leveraging Chainlink's secure interoperability and orchestration capabilities, Bottomline can move over $16 trillion in payments annually.

Chainlink is a decentralized oracle network that enables smart contracts on various blockchain platforms. This partnership marks an important step towards the adoption of blockchain solutions in the financial sector, which could lead to increased efficiency and security in cross-border transactions.
