Brandt Fuels Bitcoin Speculation with Bullish Technical Analysis
Renowned trader Peter Brandt has shared his insights on Bitcoin's recent price action, fueling speculation about its potential trajectory. The flagship cryptocurrency has soared past $72,500 and is currently up around 5%. This surge has also lifted the broader crypto market, with top altcoins experiencing significant gains.
Brandt highlighted a major shift in Bitcoin's technical picture, as it transitioned from a bearish setup to a bullish one. He noted that an inverted head-and-shoulders pattern had initially carried downside risks but changed his assessment upon completing the bottom formation. The chart showed that BTC price first struggled around the $60,000 area before building a series of lows and eventually breaking higher.
The breakout trade has sparked debate about Bitcoin's potential target. Brandt hinted at a possible resistance level of $76,000, while some analysts have speculated about a return to $50,000 in a bearish scenario. Aksel Kibar's chart showed that the bullish case becomes stronger as Bitcoin price breaks through the $67,200 resistance.
Investors should exercise caution due to the highly volatile crypto market and geopolitical tensions between the US and Iran. While some prediction markets have turned bullish, anticipating a $80K target by 2026 end, others remain uncertain about the outcome.
