Brave Wallet Adds Polkadot Support, Private Cross-Chain Transfers
Brave Wallet has rolled out an update on desktop, bringing native Polkadot support and private cross-chain transfers to users. The latest version, v1.94, now allows for buying, holding, and sending DOT (Polkadot's native token) directly within the wallet.
The update also supports AssetHub, where Polkadot-native assets are created and managed. Swaps and broader Web3 connectivity for Polkadot are planned later this year, but are not included in this release.
In addition to Polkadot support, Brave Wallet now offers private cross-chain transfers powered by NEAR Protocol's Confidential Intents. This feature enables users to move funds on Bitcoin, Cardano, Ethereum, and Solana without leaving a public trail on those chains.
