Brazilian Company OranjeBTC Amasses $255M in Bitcoin Holdings
OranjeBTC, a Brazilian company founded by Guilherme Gomes, has become one of the top corporate Bitcoin treasuries globally. The company holds approximately $255 million worth of BTC, with an average cost basis of around $105,000 per coin. This makes OranjeBTC's 3,950 BTC stash the largest among public companies in Latin America.
OranjeBTC went public last October through a reverse IPO and has been steadily buying Bitcoin since then. The company acquired the educational platform Intergraus to gain its B3 listing and has attracted notable investors such as Adam Back and the Winklevoss twins, who have been institutional Bitcoin advocates since 2013.
In March 2026, OranjeBTC became the first public company to hold Strategy's variable-rate perpetual preferred equity, STRC, on its balance sheet. This move is seen as a strategic position rather than a pivot from holding BTC as its primary reserve.
