Brazilian Crypto Adoption Surpasses Stocks
A recent survey of Brazilian cryptocurrency adoption has found that more Brazilians have invested in cryptocurrencies than in the stock market. The second Brazilian National Crypto Survey, conducted by Paradigma and Datafolha, polled 2,004 users from May 11 to May 14.
The survey revealed that two-thirds of Brazilians are already familiar with cryptocurrency, with Bitcoin and Ethereum being the most recognized digital assets. Drex, the national central bank digital currency project, ranked third in recognition.
Crypto investments surpassed stocks in popularity, accounting for 17.2% of investment options, while stock market participation stood at 6.4%. This means that Brazilians who have invested in crypto outnumber those who have bought stocks by more than double, estimated at around 29 million investors.
