Brazilian Crypto Investors Outnumber Stockholders Nearly 3-to-1
Brazil has seen a significant surge in cryptocurrency ownership, surpassing traditional stock market participation. A recent survey by Paradigma and Datafolha found that 17.2% of respondents had invested in cryptocurrencies, compared to just 6.4% who held stocks. This translates to an estimated 29 million crypto investors in Brazil.
The majority of these investors (83%) use banking apps to purchase or hold cryptocurrency, rather than dedicated exchanges. This trend reflects the growing trend of traditional banks offering crypto services directly to their customers. Brazilian financial institutions have played a crucial role in driving adoption by integrating crypto services into their platforms.
