Brazilian Fashion Conglomerate Azzas 2154 Deploys Blockchain for Supply Chain Transparency
Azzas 2154, a conglomerate formed by the merger of Arezzo&Co and Grupo Soma in August 2024, is leveraging blockchain technology to improve supply chain transparency.
The company aims to achieve 100% traceability of its leather supply chain by 2030 and 100% cotton traceability by 2040. As of early 2025, Azzas 2154 had made significant progress, tracing 38.6% of its leather and 69% of its cotton raw materials.
Suelen Joner, head of sustainability at Azzas 2154, highlighted the role of blockchain in enabling immediate blocking of irregular materials when discrepancies arise in the supply chain.
The company is also pairing blockchain with AI tools to enhance operational transparency. This integrated approach allows for the identification and flagging of anomalies in supplier data, further boosting trust and accountability within its supply chain.
