Brazil's iPhone Prices Soar, But Bitcoin Makes Them Look Affordable

The price of iPhones in Brazil has skyrocketed over the years, with the latest model reaching prices as high as R$30,000. However, when measured in Bitcoin, the new iPhone is actually cheaper than ever before.

In 2010, the iPhone 4 cost R$1,799 in Brazil. In contrast, the latest iPhone 18 Pro starts at R$11,999 and the iPhone 18 Pro Max begins at R$12,999. The top-of-the-line iPhone Duo costs R$21,999, but can reach up to R$30,999 for its most powerful version.

The massive price increase is largely due to inflation, a weaker exchange rate, and Apple's shift in focus towards premium models with higher price tags.

When viewed through the lens of Bitcoin, however, the picture changes dramatically. In 2010, it took approximately 11,980 BTC ($77,217.00 · Live) to purchase an iPhone 4. By contrast, the new iPhone 18 Pro costs only around 0.015 BTC.
