Bridge Joins EU's MiCA Register as 42nd EMT Issuer
Bridge Building, the Luxembourg entity behind Stripe-owned stablecoin infrastructure company Bridge, has been added to the European Union's Markets in Crypto-Assets register. This move extends Stripe's regulated stablecoin infrastructure across the bloc and brings the number of authorized electronic money token issuers in the EMT section to 42.
The registration follows regulatory approvals secured by Bridge in Luxembourg in late June. The company received authorization as a Crypto-Asset Service Provider under MiCA, alongside an Electronic Money Institution license from Luxembourg's Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier.
The dual licenses allow Bridge to combine regulated crypto services with conventional payments infrastructure and offer products across the European Economic Area through the EU passporting framework. This means companies can use its infrastructure to combine euro accounts, named IBANs, euro payouts, and stablecoin products through a single integration.
