Bridge Secures EU-Wide Stablecoin Licenses with MiCA Registration

Stripe's subsidiary Bridge has secured MiCA and EMI licenses in Luxembourg, enabling regulated stablecoin services across all 27 EU member states.

This move marks a significant step towards broadening Stripe's footprint in the European crypto market. With these dual licenses, Bridge can utilize 'passporting' rights to deliver services without needing individual licenses in every jurisdiction.

The company intends to empower corporate clients to issue their own euro-backed stablecoins, with several use cases identified including intra-group payments for multinational firms and loyalty programs.
