British Investor Recovers £3.3M in Frozen Bitcoin Holdings
A British investor has successfully recovered his frozen Bitcoin holdings from the defunct UK exchange Intersango, worth approximately £3.3 million.
The investor, identified as Chris, had invested £1,500 in Bitcoin in 2011 when it traded at around £2.94 per coin through Britcoin, which later became Intersango.
After the exchange collapsed in 2014, Chris's account was frozen, and he was unable to access his holdings, which were then worth roughly £4,000.
The claim was resolved through negotiation with CEL Solicitors, who handled the case, after they assembled records to establish that the coins belonged to Chris.
