Browser-Based Blockchain Games Lead Web3 Gaming Sector

Five blockchain games are making waves in the web3 gaming sector by allowing players to access them directly through their browsers, without any downloads needed.

The games, which include Footium, Gigaverse, Anichess, Cambria, and Craft World, showcase a diverse range of genres and gameplay styles.

Footium is a football management sim where players can run their own club and make decisions on transfers and tactics. It's built on the Arbitrum platform and features NFTs for each club with its own unique badge and match history recorded on-chain.

Gigaverse, on the other hand, is an on-chain RPG that takes place in a pixel-art multiverse governed by AI. Players must hold a soulbound Giga Hero username NFT to enter, which costs around 0.005 ETH. A follow-up game, Gigaverse Online, is set to release soon.

Anichess is a magical twist on the classic game of chess, featuring spellcasting and a new type of victory called a Kingslay. It can be played in-browser or through the Base App, with no wallet necessary for signing in.

Cambria is an extraction MMORPG that draws inspiration from RuneScape and Ultima Online. Players must navigate risk-versus-reward calculations as they explore progressively deadlier territory to gather loot.

Craft World tasks players with rebuilding a broken Earth alongside elemental dinosaur companions known as Dynomites. Its idle crafting loop is built around cooperation, with resources gathered, crafted, and traded between players.
