bStocks Soars to Dominant Position in Tokenized Equity DEX Trading
bStocks has taken over 85% of tokenized equity trading volume on decentralized exchanges in July, with an impressive $9.4 billion in on-chain volume.
The product, launched by Binance's tokenized equities arm around June 10-11, crossed $500 million in assets under management within seven weeks and represented about 27% of the global tokenized equity market cap by late July.
Surprisingly, nearly all of bStocks' activity came from a single product: QQQB, a token tracking the Invesco QQQ ETF. This one Nasdaq-100 tracker generated approximately $9.27 billion in trading volume, accounting for a staggering chunk of the entire sector's throughput.
BStocks' explosive adoption was facilitated by zero maker fees through August and a tiered volume multiplier program for VIP traders. A significant portion of bStocks trading occurred outside traditional US market hours, suggesting traders are using blockchain rails to trade equity exposure when the New York Stock Exchange is closed.
