bStocks Surpasses $2 Billion Weekend Trading Volume
Binance's bStocks has achieved an impressive milestone, surpassing $2 billion in trading volume over just one weekend. This significant increase is a testament to the growing popularity of the platform.
bStocks allows users to trade tokenized versions of US stocks on the BNB Smart Chain, with each token backed 1:1 by actual shares held with a regulated custodian. The tokens are issued under the FSRA/ADGM regulatory framework and can be swapped for direct stock holdings.
The platform's trading volume has been steadily increasing since its launch in early June, with cumulative trading volume surpassing $3 billion as of July 22. Weekly volumes climbed from $6 million to $861 million within the initial weeks alone, and now a single weekend is generating numbers that dwarf those early milestones.
The majority of bStocks trading occurs outside traditional US market hours, with nearly half of all activity taking place when Wall Street's lights are off. The volume is being driven primarily by tech stocks, with names like NVDA and GOOGL leading the charge.
