BSV Finds Stability in Fixed Protocol, Unlike Bitcoin's Turbulent Past

The BSV blockchain has seen significant developments in its standards conversation, focusing on wallet interfaces and token protocols built in script. In contrast to Bitcoin's tumultuous past, where protocol changes were often contentious and resulted in network splits, BSV has adopted a more collaborative approach.

A key milestone was the implementation of BRC-100, a proposal that aimed to provide a bedrock foundation for building applications on the BSV chain. The proposal, submitted by Ty Everett, Tone Engel, and Brayden Langley of Project Babbage, did not require a vote from the community but was adopted due to its perceived value.

The BRC library allows developers to share ideas without bureaucratic overhead, and the rule for changing one is that a new proposal must extend it without breaking existing functionality. This approach has led to a growth in proposals, with 187 currently listed on the index.
