BSV Surges 3% as Bitcoin Drives Crypto Market Rally
Bitcoin SV (BSV) saw a 3% increase in price over the last 24 hours, but this gain was largely due to a broader crypto market rally led by Bitcoin rather than any specific BSV catalyst.
The total crypto market cap rose from $2.20 trillion to $2.32 trillion, a gain of +5.37%, while the non-BTC altcoin market cap climbed from about $905.7 billion to $946.3 billion, roughly +4.48%.
Bitcoin's price jumped from the mid-$64k area up through $67k, 69k in a single session, sparking a broad risk-asset rally that included BSV. The US Treasury announced it would at least double the size of its buyback operations for long-duration government bonds, which knocked long-term yields off multi-year highs and contributed to the rally.
Multiple analyses report Bitcoin's largest ever single-day short liquidation volume, with roughly $1.1 billion of BTC shorts wiped out on perpetual futures and nearly $1.9 billion in total crypto liquidations over 24 hours, most of them shorts.
