BTC Box Partially Reopens After Six-Month Shutdown of BTCBOX Exchange
BTC Box, the operator of cryptocurrency exchange BTCBOX, announced it will partially resume services on August 3. This move marks an end to a six-month complete shutdown that began in late January under the guise of system maintenance.
During this period, customers were unable to log into their accounts or deposit crypto assets. However, Japanese yen withdrawal services are scheduled to resume on August 10. Exchange and over-the-counter trading functions will be gradually restored from September onward as their safety is confirmed.
The security framework has been significantly strengthened with passkey authentication mandatory for login, replacing traditional passwords. Two-factor authentication will also be required for Japanese yen withdrawals.
