BTC Consolidates Near Recent Highs as ETH and XRP Defend Key Supports
Bitcoin (BTC) is consolidating near recent highs after gaining over 3.4% last week, while Ethereum (ETH) and Ripple (XRP) are defending key bullish supports.
The price of BTC has been hovering around $79,806 on Monday, with the Relative Strength Index (RSI) at 65 indicating firm but not extreme buying pressure. The Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) is turning negative, hinting at waning momentum within an overall positive structure.
On the upside, a daily close above $85,000 would reopen the path toward fresh highs, while a break below the EMA cluster would signal a deeper corrective phase. Initial support lies around the 200-day EMA at $72,749, reinforced by the 50-day and 100-day EMAs.
Ethereum is maintaining its constructive bullish bias, with price holding above key EMAs. The RSI near 65 suggests upside momentum remains in play, but the negative MACD reading hints that the latest advance may be losing some traction.
Ripple has been defending a key long-term support level, trading above the 200-day EMA at $1.353. The RSI is easing from prior overbought extremes to hover just below 60, suggesting bullish momentum is moderating but not broken.
