BTC Consolidation Tests Buyers' Resolve Amid $85K Target
Bitcoin's recent price surge has stabilized near $78,800 after gaining approximately 24% in August. This is its strongest monthly advance since November 2024.
The recovery has put the $82,000-$85,000 region back in focus, but the short-term structure leaves room for another liquidity sweep before buyers attempt a more sustained breakout.
Rod (@Crypto_R0D) on X interprets Bitcoin's current structure as a potential Elliott Wave 4 consolidation following the strong third-wave advance. This could lead to an extension toward the mid-$80,000s or a temporary move lower to flush leveraged long positions.
A brief break below $76,000-$77,000 could flush those positions without necessarily ending the broader bullish structure. Recovery after such a sweep would keep the potential fifth-wave advance intact.
