BTC Price Surge May Mask Imminent Crash to $30K
The price of Bitcoin (BTC) has risen to around $63,500 in the last 24 hours, but analyst Ali Martinez believes that there are signs pointing to a potential pullback. One factor is that over 20,000 BTC have been sent to exchanges in the past week, with the total figure reaching 2.72 million, the highest since July.
Martinez argues that this could indicate rising sell-side pressure, as 'when coins move onto trading platforms, it often signals rising sell-side pressure.' However, it's also possible that investors are sending BTC to exchanges due to a loss of trust in self-custody methods following the Coldcart saga.
Another bearish signal is that BTC miners have sold around 1,774 units over the past week, worth approximately $112 million. This could negatively impact the asset's valuation in the short term.
