BTC Short-Term Holders Flip from Losses to Gains
Bitcoin's short-term holders have made a rapid shift from losses to profits as the price surged from $63,000 to $77,000 in just one week. According to Pluang, nearly 75% of these holders are now in profit, reversing a previous trend where most were underwater.
This shift is marked by increased Bitcoin deposits to exchanges, signaling profit-taking rather than panic selling. The strong August rally, supported by ETF inflows, has boosted confidence but also raises concerns about potential market overheating if selling pressure outpaces new demand.
The coming weeks will reveal if new buyers can absorb the supply from profit-taking holders to sustain the rally.
