BTCPay Server Hack Allows Hackers to Steal Bitcoin from Lightning Network Servers

Bitcoin-related infrastructure has been under attack in recent weeks, and the latest breach targeted a vulnerability in BTCPay Server, a Bitcoin payment service.

The security flaw allowed unidentified hackers to access Lightning Network payment servers through BTCPay Server and steal Bitcoin. The scale of the losses has not yet been determined.

BTCPay urged users to update their servers to the latest version immediately after discovering the vulnerability.
