BTCS Inc., a company focused on decentralized finance and blockchain infrastructure operations, has expanded its Imperium DeFi strategy to multi-chain operations. The company's DeFi business line, Imperium, will now operate on Base, an Ethereum Layer-2 network created by Coinbase.

The move is part of BTCS' efforts to generate scalable high-margin revenue. According to CEO Charles Allen, 'Operating across multiple networks and assets lets us dynamically provide liquidity where volume and demand shift.'

Imperium's growth has accelerated in the third quarter, with deployed digital assets increasing from approximately $8 million at the end of Q2 to approximately $36 million today.

The company believes that this expansion will help it achieve its goal of exceeding a $6 million gross profit target for the year. Base has grown into one of the largest Ethereum Layer-2 networks, with over $12 billion in on-chain assets today.
