BTCS Repays Aave Loans Using Ethereum, Ends Q2 with Meager Cash Reserves
Nasdaq-listed BTCS has made significant moves to manage its debt and asset holdings in Q2. The company used Ethereum (ETH) to repay its Aave loans, swapping $8.27 million of ETH for USDT to pay off principal and interest.
This repayment was valued at approximately $8.2 million, according to BTCS' results announcement. At the end of June 30, the company reported having just $317,113 in cash and stablecoins, which is a relatively small portion of its overall assets.
BTCS also held around $88.1 million in other digital-asset categories, including treasury holdings, DeFi deployments, staked assets, liquidity-pool positions, and NFTs. However, these assets are subject to market fluctuations and protocol risks.
