Bullish Q2 Earnings Loom Amid Sluggish Volumes and Rising Short Interest
Crypto exchange Bullish (NYSE:BLSH) is set to release its second-quarter earnings before the bell on Thursday, sparking interest among investors. Analysts predict that the firm will announce earnings per share of $0.09, down 90% year-over-year and 30% from the previous quarter.
The company is expected to report quarterly revenue of $87.90 million, up 50% from the same quarter last year. This marks a significant increase in revenue despite a dip in trading volumes, which fell by 33% to $130.7 billion for the quarter ending June 30.
A rising short interest in the stock has been interpreted as a bearish signal, with 9.90 million shares sold short, accounting for 19.6% of the company's publicly available float. However, the Moving Average Convergence Divergence indicator flashed a 'Buy' signal for BLSH according to TradingView.
