Bullish Sentiment Misses Mark as XRP Surpasses Two-Month Activity High

XRP's slide below $1.00 has pushed social chatter into its most bearish stretch in three months, according to CryptoRank. The XRP Ledger, however, saw a significant spike in activity with 49,929 active addresses in a single 24-hour window, the highest in over two months.

This split makes the current setup difficult to read. Retail traders on X, Reddit, Telegram, and other crypto channels have turned sharply pessimistic as price failed to rally. Earlier July activity had fallen close to 2026 lows, so the jump in active addresses is not just a one-off bounce from elevated levels, it's a reversal from a quiet period.

Active addresses are a basic but useful on-chain signal that counts unique wallet addresses taking part in transactions, capturing participation rather than price direction. The metric does not distinguish between buying, selling, or ordinary transfers. However, falling price plus rising participation often looks like capitulation or accumulation rather than disinterest.
